The work

Where this sits.

There are hundreds of educational consultants in Australia. Most come from regulatory, academic, or large advisory firm backgrounds. EdFinHealth sits in a different place — practitioner-led, healthcare-grounded, and built at the intersection of adult learner design, compliance, and genuine AI fluency.

This is not about volume. It’s about the right engagements, done with the time and care the work deserves.

“I help RTOs, TAFEs, and university enabling programmes design healthcare and adult-learner pathways that actually finish — using a practitioner-built methodology that combines financial-health awareness, AI-augmented learning, and Accord-aligned outcomes design.”

🏥

Health Sciences Practitioner

Registered Pharmacist

Clinical health sciences background. In conversations about healthcare workforce pipelines, nursing articulation, and allied health pathway design — this is lived knowledge, not research.

🎓

15 Years Health Sciences Education

Adult Learner Specialist

Teaching adult learners entering health sciences pathways. The gap between what programmes promise and what learners experience is not theoretical — it’s familiar.

🤖

Genuine AI Fluency

Practitioner-Builder

EdFinHealth is being built at the intersection of educational design and AI-augmented learning. In assessment redesign conversations — this is a real, demonstrable edge.

💡

Financial-Health Aware Design

Completion-Focused

Completion rates correlate with the financial realities of your cohort. No other Australian education consultant brings this lens to programme design — healthcare RTOs recognise it immediately.

The context

Three things reshaping Australian education right now.

Every organisation I work with is navigating at least one of these. Most are navigating all three simultaneously — and most don’t have the internal capacity to respond to all of them at once.

Force 01

Standards for RTOs 2025

Effective 1 July 2025. The shift to outcomes-based self-assurance creates more consulting demand, not less — because most RTOs don’t have the internal capability to design evidence systems from scratch. The 2026 Annual Declaration is the first hard deadline.

Force 02

The Universities Accord

80% tertiary attainment by 2050. Participation parity for equity cohorts. Universities and TAFEs are being asked to design programmes for learner cohorts they’ve never served before — adult learners, career-changers, regional students. That requires new design capability.

Force 03

Assessment in the AI Era

Generative AI has broken traditional written assessment. Every institution is quietly rebuilding — authentic tasks, oral assessment, process-based evidence. The consultants who can design this well, and who actually use AI fluently, are genuinely rare in Australia right now.

Who this is for

Four types of organisation.

The problem looks different in each context. The underlying question is usually the same: why aren’t learners completing, and what would it take to change that?

Private RTOs & TAFEs

Health, aged care & community services training

You deliver Certificates and Diplomas in health services assistance, aged care, individual support, or disability. Standards 2025 is a significant compliance lift and you don’t have the internal capacity to respond alone. You need structured support that produces evidence systems your team can maintain.

Universities & Higher Education Providers

Enabling programmes, health pathways & assessment redesign

You run enabling or alternative entry programmes, or lead a faculty redesigning assessment for the AI era. You need a practitioner who can do the design work with your team — not an external consultant who delivers a policy document and invoices on the way out.

Healthcare & Aged Care Employers

Workforce pathway design

You’re a hospital network, aged care provider, or NDIS organisation trying to move workers from one qualification level to the next. You need pathway design that actually connects — not just an articulation agreement on paper.

Educators & Program Designers

Curriculum leads, Heads of School & course designers

You’re working independently or within an institution, trying to lift completion rates, build a microcredential, or redesign assessment after AI changed everything. You want a collaborator in the work — not someone who hands you a framework and calls it consulting.

What we do

Seven service lines.

All of them connect to the same question: does this programme actually work for the learners who need it?

01
Standards Compliance

Standards 2025 Readiness

A structured gap analysis against the 2025 Standards for RTOs — followed by a remediation plan, updated policies, procedures, and evidence registers. The practical answer to the 2026 Annual Declaration on Compliance.

→ Private RTOs · TAFEs
02
Credential Design

Microcredential Design & Accreditation

Design of new microcredentials aligned with the National Microcredentials Framework — learning outcomes, assessment, AQF level alignment, volume of learning, and quality assurance. Extends to accreditation submission support where needed.

→ Universities · Non-university HEPs · RTOs
03
Assessment Redesign

Assessment Redesign for the AI Era

Authentic assessment design, oral and process-based assessment, AI-permitted assessment with clear integrity guardrails, and academic integrity policy refresh. Delivered as design workshops with teaching teams — not as documents handed over and left.

→ Universities · Diploma-level RTOs
04
Learner Experience

Adult Learner & Equity-Cohort Programme Design

Design or redesign of enabling programmes, bridging programmes, alternative entry pathways, and equity-cohort scaffolding. Anchored in Accord targets and financial-health-aware programme economics — built for the realities of the learners these programmes are supposed to serve.

→ Universities · TAFEs · Community providers
05
Workforce Pathways

Healthcare Workforce Pathway Design

Design of pathway programmes that move workers from one healthcare role into a higher-qualified one — PCA into Cert III, Enrolled Nurse into Registered Nurse, and similar. At the intersection of workforce planning, qualification architecture, and educational design.

→ Hospital networks · Aged care · NDIS organisations
06
Foundation Skills

Foundation Skills Integration

Embedding literacy, numeracy, digital, and employability skills into vocational programmes — aligned with TAELLN421, the Australian Core Skills Framework, and ASQA expectations. For RTOs whose learners come from low-literacy or English-as-additional-language cohorts.

→ RTOs · Community colleges · First Nations providers
07
AI-Enabled Learning

AI Tutoring & Interactive Learning Tools

Design and implementation of AI-assisted learning tools — adaptive tutoring with genuine educator controls, and interactive conversational avatars for learner engagement and practice. Built to support your teaching staff’s judgement, not replace it: every tool ships with the guardrails, oversight, and reporting educators need to trust what’s happening in front of their students.

→ Universities · RTOs · TAFEs · Corporate training providers
How it works

Four honest things.

There is no standard process that fits every engagement. But these four things are consistent — and worth knowing before you get in touch.

It starts with a conversation.

A genuine 45-minute talk about what you’re working on and whether EdFinHealth is the right fit. Not a structured session with a scoring rubric. Just a conversation. You’ll know by the end of it whether it makes sense to go further.

From there, it depends on what you need.

Some organisations want a scoped proposal. Some want a short advisory session first to get their thinking straight before committing to anything. Some need time to take it back to a decision-maker. All of that is fine — there’s no expectation either way.

The work is done with your team, not above them.

At the end of every engagement, your team should be able to run what we built without external support. That’s the standard. Consulting that creates dependency is not good consulting.

Success is defined before the work begins.

Before any engagement is scoped, the question is: what does success look like six months after this ends? That answer shapes the proposal, the timeline, and every deliverable.

Get in touch

Start with a conversation.

The best way to find out whether there’s a fit is to talk. Fill in the form and I’ll respond within two business days — or book a call directly if you’d prefer to move faster.

There’s no expectation of commitment at this stage. You’re just telling me what you’re working on.

Enquiry form

A few questions so I can come to our conversation prepared. Nothing here is binding.

Received — thank you.

I’ll respond within two business days. If it makes sense to talk, I’ll send through a link to book a call.

Your details are used only to respond to your enquiry. You’ll only receive other updates if you tick the box above.

Questions

Commonly asked.

If the answer isn’t here, the fastest way to find it is a 45-minute call. Most questions are better answered in conversation than on a page.

Do you only work with healthcare RTOs?

Healthcare is the primary focus — that’s where the practitioner credibility is deepest. But the service lines are relevant across vocational areas. If you’re unsure whether there’s a fit, a 45-minute call is the right way to find out.

Do you work outside Western Australia?

Yes. All consulting can be delivered remotely. For design workshops and embedded work, travel to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide is available — included in project scoping. Most conversations happen online regardless of location.

Why isn’t pricing on the website?

Because quoting before a conversation is guesswork. A Standards 2025 readiness review for a 3-staff RTO is a different engagement from the same work for a 40-staff TAFE division. The right scope and the right fee depend on what you’re actually trying to solve.

How long does a typical engagement take?

It depends on the service line. A Standards 2025 gap analysis for a small RTO runs 4–6 weeks. A microcredential design runs 6–12 weeks. A faculty-level assessment redesign is typically 8–14 weeks. All timelines are agreed before work begins.

Can you help with an ASQA audit response?

Yes — though proactive Standards 2025 readiness work is almost always more efficient than reactive audit response. If you have an audit approaching, the earlier the conversation, the more options you have.

What’s the smallest engagement you take on?

There’s no formal minimum. Short advisory sessions — 2 to 4 hours — are available for organisations who need direction before committing to a larger project. If you’re not sure the problem is large enough to warrant a project, that’s worth discussing on the call.
